In times of crisis, our community turns to the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management for help, and we’re looking for new members to join our team! We’re seeking motivated, community-service-oriented members to join one of New Jersey’s premier Emergency Management teams, right here in Neptune Township. Exciting and enticing perks of volunteering with NTOEM include:
- Free training provided by well-respected and highly skilled public safety professionals.
- Reimbursement program available, allowing members to recover personal costs related to their volunteer service.

- Specialized units including Hazardous Materials, Special Operations and Technical Rescue, and much more!
Membership with NTOEM is available on at various levels to accommodate your skill set and availability, and training will be provided to members wishing to advance to any specialized units. NTOEM is an active agency and does require members to complete required training, attend meetings, and respond to emergency calls, so applicants should be ready and willing to participate.
For those seeking a volunteer opportunity but aren’t ready to provide the time required of NTOEM members, we would encourage you to join our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). CERT members can be called on to assist with anything from victim assistance following a natural disaster to traffic control at community events and receive free training from highly-skilled emergency service professionals, as well as equipment to help support their roles.
