Since the early 1990’s, the Neptune Office of Emergency Management has maintained a team of First Responders.  This response team is known as Station 34-9.

This component is comprised of 15 dedicated members who respond to and handle hundred of emergency incidents per year.  These members are trained to the HazMat Operations Level, Incident Management and a variety of other levels of training.

Station 34-9 responds to a wide variety of incidents in Neptune Township and when requested throughout the region.  These incidents include, but are not limited to:

  • Motor Vehicle Accidents
  • Carbon Monoxide Incidents
  • Gas Leaks
  • Structure Fires
  • Large Emergency Incidents
  • Lighting requests
  • Other incident and event support

Neptune Office of Emergency Management is incredibly proud of our Response Component.  The members of Station 34-9 fulfill so many vital roles that help both mitigate and support the emergency response operations.

The Neptune Office of Emergency Management supports emergency operations with Incident Management support.

Such support would be implemented for large scale emergencies, prolonged operations, major incidents, natural disasters, large scale planned and unplanned events and similar occurrences.

OEM members trained in incident management can be mobilized and deployed to an incident or event. They can also be assigned to staff the local Emergency Operations Center (EOC), such as in the event of severe weather.

If deployed to a outlying area, remote site or another jurisdiction, the group can respond with the Emergency Management Field Communications Mobile Command Center [see photo].

This unit is fully equipped with communications equipment, computers, radio communications, drones, portable command posts, a command meeting space, planning area and other support and technology equipment.

Incident Management support is available 365/24/7.
